Unboxing And Review Of My New Pandora Jewelry💍 Travel Box 🎁

I Felt Like I Was Treated Like A Common Criminal In Trinidad And Tobago

I went into this store, in Trinidad and Tobago, on December 17, 2017 because my daughter wanted to get a specific item.  As soon as I entered the store, Kappa Drugs to be precise, for the first time, I was impressed, it was roomy and I could see right away that I could get everything I needed in this one store!!!

So my daughter got the item that she wanted and paid for it.  I took her package from her and headed for the exit.  She however went to get another item.  As I approached the exit door, I was approached by a young lady who told me that she has to do a random check and need to see my receipt and the items I purchased.  She also said that she had to check my hand bag.  To top that off I had to empty my bag.  Like I said before I was by the exit door so there was not really any place that I could place the items that were in my  hand bag.  I ended up putting the items in a shopping basket that was nearby.

By this time I was grumbling to myself and was obviously showing my dissatisfaction of having to empty my hand bag like a common criminal.  The lady who checked my bag said "and she showing attitude".  That was absolutely rude and disrespectful of her.  Again, I felt like I was treated like a criminal.  As the lady was going through the items that were in my hand bag, I saw at the corner of my eye, the male security guard, come close by and looked over to see the items that were in my bag!!

Well what happened next took the series of event to a next level!

I put my items back into my hand bag and proceeded to wait for my daughter as she was having her other items cashed.  I eventually approached her because I found that it was taking too long for her to be served.  I told her that I wanted to the leave and expressed how angry and upset I was by the events that happened earlier.

So as I was about to exit the door, I heard someone calling me,  I looked around and the security guard told me that they had to check my bag again as I went back into the store!!!!  Now this was a double dose of being angry for me!!!  I did not resist but I again expressed my dissatisfaction.  The guard had the audacity to ask me if I did not know what a random check meant!  My daughter and I responded to him simultaneously - DO YOU KNOW WHAT RANDOM MEANS???  He was totally out of place!

I would not be shopping at this store again regardless of the location.  I am a Trinidadian YouTuber and have quite a few Trinidad and Tobago subscribers and will definitely be sharing my experience with them.

Whats On My Leather Pandora Bracelet💍

How To Store Your Pandora Jewelry💍 When Travelling Overseas

How To Clean My Tarnished Pandora Murano Charm💍

Retired Charms In My Pandora Jewelry💍 Collection

I recently created a spreadsheet with a list of all the items in my Pandora Jewelry collection and decided to itemize the Pandora charms that are retired.  I used the information from Pandora website to put together the data and was surprised to find out that some of the charms that I had on my Wish List were retired, which basically means I would not get them at my local Pandora jewelry store any more.

However there is an online store - Rue La La that sells authentic retired Pandora Jewelry.  On my first attempt to purchase a retired item, the shipping cost was more than the charm itself so I did not go ahead with the purchase.

On my second attempt I found out that I can only make a purchase if I had an American bank account, which I don't have.  On one of my Pandora jewelry hauls at my local store, I was just in time to get two retired charm, - the London Bus and Charles Bridge (dangle charm).

You can also get retired Pandora Jewelry charms on Ebay but I have heard numerous reports that not authentic Pandora jewelry is sold.

Pandora Jewelry Charm - Turtle

Pandora Jewelry Spacer Charm - Floral Elegance

Pandora Jewelry Charm - DSLR Camera

Pandora Jewelry Charm - dangle charm  - Grey Pearl

My Over 40 Years Old Antique Jewelry💍Box🎁

My mother takes real good care of her things which allows me the opportunity to share this over 40 years old dancing ballerina jewelry box.

On one of my trips to my home country, Trinidad and Tobago I was inspired to showcase this antique dancing ballerina jewelry box in the video below.  It works perfectly, the ballerina and her partner still dance, the exterior of the box is in perfect condition.

If I can remember correctly my mom gifted me this dancing ballerina jewelry box for my birthday many years ago before my first child was born, who is over 30 years at the time of this post .

This year 2019, I purchased a new jewelry box, for my birthday, that can hold my Pandora jewelry collection and other items.  The other jewelry box I had was damaged during hurricane Irma in 2017. Check out my blog post about my new jewelry box.  CLICK HERE

How To Clear Semi Blocked Ear👂Piercings

Have you ever had a problem where you are trying to put your earrings into your ear piercing and are having difficulty?  Well let me show you how to solve this problem.

Put a small bit of moisturizer like Vaseline, Coconut OilBaby Oil, Olive Oil etc on your finger tips (index finger and thumb) and massage the ear piercing with your moisturized finger tips.  Next pull the ear lobe a bit and gently try to put your earrings into your ear piercing.

If it does not work maybe the ear piercing is totally blocked.  If  the ear piercing bleeds or was bleeding before, do not try this tip.  Allow the ear piercing to heal properly before trying this tip.  Good Luck!!

How To Clean Pandora Jewelry At Home With Baking Soda💍 - Questions And Answers

Question #1:  How long should I leave my Pandora jewelry in the baking soda mixture?
Answer #1:  Leave your jewelry in the baking mixture for about one hour.

Question #2How often should I clean my Pandora jewelry with the baking soda mixture?
Answer #2:  Cleaning your Pandora jewelry all depends on how your jewelry is looking.  There is no time frame when you should clean your jewelry.

Question #3:  Why does the Pandora jewelry gets tarnish after maybe a few months?
Answer: #3I asked this question when I went to my local Pandora store and I was told that the box that you put your jewelry in, may cause this reaction.

Question #4:  Why should I clean my Pandora jewelry at home when I can take it to my Pandora store and the service is free?
Answer #4:  For many people their Pandora store is not very close to their homes so they are so happy to know that they can clean their jewelry at home for themselves with a method that is working and effective.  When you take your Pandora jewelry to your local Pandora store, you will have to wait a few hours before getting it back.  Also the arrangement of your charms may be different to the way you originally had it when it is returned to you.

Question #5:  Would the baking soda damage my Pandora jewelry?
Answer #5:  Baking soda is a mild and effective product.  I use this product to clean my face and teeth.  Therefore in my opinion it is great and safe to use on your Pandora jewelry.

Question #6:  How much baking soda and water should I use to make the mixture?
Answer #6: If you are cleaning just one bracelet, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of water should do. Try not to have to mixture too runny.

Question #7:  What temperature should the water be? Answer #7:  When I first tried this tip, I used the water from my kitchen faucet which was at room temperature and I have been doing so ever since. Some people recommend using hot water - to be honest I don't particularly like the idea and have never tried it.  If you have, let me know and I will spread the word.

Question #8:  Can I use baking powder?
Answer #8:  No, baking powder doesn't have the same chemicals like baking soda to be a multi purpose cleaner.

Question #9:  Would the baking soda clean the rose gold and gold charms?
Answer #9:  Baking soda is a multi purpose cleaning soda and can be used to clean any precious metal.

Question #10:  Can I use any type of baking soda?
Answer #10:  Any brand of baking soda can be used.  As far as I know all baking soda brands are the same.

NOTE:  If you have a leather Pandora bracelet, remove all the charms from the bracelet and then proceed to clean them. Clean the clasp with extra caution.

Pandora Bow Bracelet Is Absolutely Amazing! I Have To Get One!

On March 1, 2017, I went to my local Pandora store with the intention to purchase one of the Blooming Dahlia pieces. This Pandora jewelry set consists of a dangle charm (which can also be used as a pendant), clip, ring and earrings.  I wanted to get either the earrings or the ring.

They had both of these in the store but I did not like how the ring (8 1/2) looked on finger and the earrings just did not do it for me.

The service rep provided me with an excellent service and I took the opportunity to tell her that.  I always get good service at the Pandora Store but this young lady provided an excellent service!  Her name is Kenisha.  Lovely name.  My daughter is pregnant and we are looking for names that start with the letter 'K' so I added this name to our list.

After checking out a few of the items that I might be interested in, I chose the above item - bow earrings which cost $60.00.  I really love them.

As I bought this item, the service rep showed me this other item, a bracelet with a bow at the top (see photo below).  I have never seen a bracelet like this before in the Pandora collection.  I have a bangle, bracelet and leather bracelet but never seen one like this. Maybe it is a newly produced item.  I love it and it cost$125.00!  I was blow away when I saw it and Kenisha encouraged me to try it on!  I asked her to take a photo for me!  See photo below!  Now I have to have it!

As I was taking notes on a piece of paper about the name of the bracelet and the cost for my next purchase, I just could not remember how to spell 'bow'!  LMAO!  I was so excited!!

The next Pandora special will be from March 23-26, 2017 - you get a free silver bracelet when you spend $125.00. It is my intention to get this bow bracelet and the free bracelet also the London Bus and Charles bridge for my travel charm collection.

How I Blow Dry And Flat My Natural Hair For The First Time

I thought about blow drying and flat ironing my natural hair on a few occasions. So in preparation for
my trip to my home country, Trinidad and Tobago, I decided to color, blow dry and flat iron my natural hair. I don’t have the confidence to do it myself so I went to my local hair salon, to have it done, on January 6.

The salon is owned by a woman whose native language is Spanish and her knowledge of the English language is not that good. Any way I tried my best to explain to her what I wanted done and seems like she understood my instructions. So the first thing she did was to wash my hair – having my scalp
massaged felt so good. Then I saw her about to apply something that looked like hair dye to my hair.

No problem, but for some reason, I stopped her and asked to see what she was doing. She was mixing a black hair color to apply to my hair which is not what I wanted. She then showed me what I wrote on her service request chart and she thought that I wanted a black dye applied to my hair. But I wrote blow dry and flat iron. I was happy that I had the chance to stop her because my hair is not black, it is dark
brown.

I told her that I wanted a reddish/burgundy color to my hair and I pointed to what I wanted. She applied
the color to my hair and allowed it to set for a few minutes. Next my hair was washed and then we began the blow drying and flat ironing process. This is the first time, I applied this amount of heat to my hair since I started my natural hair growth journey.

After my hair was blow dried, I realized the color of my hair was a bright orange, which was not what I really wanted but it did not look too bad. I the reason I really wanted to color my hair was to cover the grey hair at the edges of my hair line. With this bright orange color, I can still see the lighter color
strands of hairs which are my grey hairs.

When my husband saw the color of my hair, the first thing he said was that he did not like the color of my hair. Then I had to ask him what he thought the texture of my hair because I did not relax my hair and it was looking a bit straight. But he was so focused on my hair color, that he was not able to
comment on the texture of my hair.

When I scratch my scalp, I notice that my finger nails are a bit orange in color which means that a rinse applied to my hair. My hair dresser said that the did not want to apply any peroxide to my natural hair. I appreciate her thoughtfulness.

My hair feels dry and I have to remember to keep it moisturize
(especially the ends of my hair) with a product that does not have water as the first ingredient. Applying any product with water as the first ingredient will cause my hair to kink up quickly.

Last year I purchased a brush straightener and intend to use to maintain the straightness of my hair. I
will let you know how that goes. To be honest I am missing my hair style where I would pull my hair into
one and roll the ends of my hair into a bun. Now my hair is so smooth, the band I would usually use to pull back my hair into one is now just sliding off my hair. I have to use a tighter hair band instead.

Pandora Jewelry Haul 2017 | For My Pandora Travel Charm Collection

Today I went to my local Pandora store to purchase a few charms for my Pandora Jewelry charm travel collection.

I live in Tortola of the British Virgin Islands and my local Pandora Jewelry store is located in the Tortola Pier Park, Road Town, Tortola, of the Little Switzerland store.  It was a beautiful day so I decided to capture a footage of my trip to the store.

Tortola Pier Park is the area where the cruise ships dock so on that day, there was a cruise ship docked and there were quite a bit of people checking out the stores before going on their island tours.

When I arrived at the Pandora Jewelry counter, even though I knew that I was going to purchase some Pandora travel charms, I just could not remember which ones I wanted. Eventually the young lady who attended to me (who by the way was very patient with me) offered me the Pandora booklet so I can choose the ones I wanted.  That helped a great deal, right away I was able to easily make a selection.  I noticed that quite a few of the ones that I have on my wish list, were not available - maybe they were retired.

I chose the 'Travel Around The World' and 'Statue Of Liberty' charms - cost $40 and $45.00 respectively.

During the year (2016) I purchased two other charms 'Guardian Of Travel' with the words 'Saint Christopher Protect Me' at the back of the charm and 'Travel Awaits' which is charm that was designed into a passport.  This charm has the Pandora logo on the other side.
