I Felt Like I Was Treated Like A Common Criminal In Trinidad And Tobago

I went into this store, in Trinidad and Tobago, on December 17, 2017 because my daughter wanted to get a specific item.  As soon as I entered the store, Kappa Drugs to be precise, for the first time, I was impressed, it was roomy and I could see right away that I could get everything I needed in this one store!!!

So my daughter got the item that she wanted and paid for it.  I took her package from her and headed for the exit.  She however went to get another item.  As I approached the exit door, I was approached by a young lady who told me that she has to do a random check and need to see my receipt and the items I purchased.  She also said that she had to check my hand bag.  To top that off I had to empty my bag.  Like I said before I was by the exit door so there was not really any place that I could place the items that were in my  hand bag.  I ended up putting the items in a shopping basket that was nearby.

By this time I was grumbling to myself and was obviously showing my dissatisfaction of having to empty my hand bag like a common criminal.  The lady who checked my bag said "and she showing attitude".  That was absolutely rude and disrespectful of her.  Again, I felt like I was treated like a criminal.  As the lady was going through the items that were in my hand bag, I saw at the corner of my eye, the male security guard, come close by and looked over to see the items that were in my bag!!

Well what happened next took the series of event to a next level!

I put my items back into my hand bag and proceeded to wait for my daughter as she was having her other items cashed.  I eventually approached her because I found that it was taking too long for her to be served.  I told her that I wanted to the leave and expressed how angry and upset I was by the events that happened earlier.

So as I was about to exit the door, I heard someone calling me,  I looked around and the security guard told me that they had to check my bag again as I went back into the store!!!!  Now this was a double dose of being angry for me!!!  I did not resist but I again expressed my dissatisfaction.  The guard had the audacity to ask me if I did not know what a random check meant!  My daughter and I responded to him simultaneously - DO YOU KNOW WHAT RANDOM MEANS???  He was totally out of place!

I would not be shopping at this store again regardless of the location.  I am a Trinidadian YouTuber and have quite a few Trinidad and Tobago subscribers and will definitely be sharing my experience with them.
