Have You Heard About The Gorilla Glue Girl? Tessica Brown

Have you heard about the Gorilla Glue girl?  Well this is such a strange story. If you have not heard about it, I will share the story with you now.

This young lady, her name is Tessica Brown, ran out of her regular hair spray and decided to use Gorilla Glue Spray (a powerful adhesive generally used for stones and bricks).  Her hair was nice and tidy - she achieved the results she was looking for. However, her hair stayed nice and tidy for more than a week.  It was then she realized that something was wrong.

She made a few attempts, at home, to remove the product from her hair with the application of olive oil, cooking oil etc but nothing worked.  So she decided to upload a video on Instagram sharing her experience and asking for suggestions to get this product out of her hair.  Well her video went viral very quickly and everyone was talking and vlogging about her.

Someone suggested that she applied some acetone to the hair but she reported that her head burned too much - it was painful and unbearable.  She was not able to continue with that tip.  She eventually went into the hospital but they were not able to do anything for her.

With all the publicity she received, she was eventually contacted by a Los Angeles plastic surgeon (Dr. Michael Obeng) who said he could remove the chemical from her hair.  The funds she was able to raise from her GoFundMe account was able to help pay for this treatment.  She flew to the doctor's office and had the surgery done which was very successful.  He made a mixture of olive oil, aloe vera, acetone and other things to get the Gorilla Glue out of her hair.  She is very relieved and happy now.

People are saying that she did this prank to achieve fame.  Its a dangerous prank to achieve this status though.  I don't think that she did.  What do you think?

I heard that she is talking about suing the Gorilla Glue company, which I think is absurd.  There are warnings on the Gorilla Glue Spray container that the product is not to be used on your skin and any part of your body.  What makes her think she would win a case like this.

Anyway I hope she is enjoying her new instant fame and wish her all the best.

Is This Signs Of Dementia?

I had a recent event that shook me up a bit so I thought I would share my experience with you in this blog post.

I was in the grocery store and stopped at the section where the green bananas are located. I placed my shopping basket on the ground and proceeded to pack a plastic bag with some green bananas.

Then I walked over to the section with the potatoes, which was not far away. I packed another plastic bag with some potatoes.

When I was done, I looked around for my shopping basket and could not find it. I felt disoriented and just could not remember where I put my shopping basket. I even asked myself if I had a shopping cart. I proceeded to walk over to the section with the green bananas and looked down on the ground and there was my shopping basket. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all.

There was another time when I driving to a specific destination and I could not remember where I was going. This happened to me before but I was able to recollect myself within seconds but this time it took longer than usual and I had to drive my vehicle to the side of the road and stop the vehicle before I was able to remember where I was going.

My mother died on January 17, 2020 and had a bit of dementia. She would move things and forgot where she put them, then she would accuse family members for stealing her things. I am very mindful of her experiences.

I haven't gotten my annual medical check up as yet, when I do I will discuss this matter with my doctor and see what is recommended.
