I saw a Facebook post where a young lady reported that she was charged a fee to clean her Pandora bracelet at our local Pandora store in the British Virgin Islands. So I decided to do a test myself. I never had my Pandora jewelry cleaned at a Pandora store before.
I chose to take my leather Pandora bracelet and two pairs of Pandora earrings to be cleaned. At the store, I learned that the charms had to be taken off the leather bracelet and put onto a silver bracelet to be able to be put it into the tumbler. Apparently the charms cannot be put into the tumbler loosely to be cleaned.
Of course as you may know, the leather Pandora bracelet cannot be put into water, it will stretch. One mistake I made though, I forgot to take note of the charms that were on my leather Pandora bracelet. Maybe as I thought the bracelet would have been cleaned without removing the charms from the bracelet. Well that is true if I had taken my sterling silver Pandora bracelet to be cleaned.
I went into the store on Thursday August 8, 2019 and I was told to return on Saturday to collect my items. I ended up returning the next Wednesday August 14 2019. My items were still in the tumbler, the young lady who attended to me had to go and collect my pieces. They all look like brand new, I am pleased with the results AND I was not charged a fee - which is the way it is suppose to be. The only thing is the time taken to clean my Pandora jewelry - way too long.
In respect to the woman who made the report, on Facebook, that she was charged to clean her Pandora bracelet at our local BVI store - maybe they were charging a fee and have since discontinued doing so or maybe she took some non Pandora jewelry to be cleaned.
